Tataki tuna - a perfect appetiser or light snack, full of flavour and healthy.

Ingredience

  • 400g fresh tuna (sashimi (Green Fin))
  • Soy sauce
  • 1 lemon
  • Black sesame seeds
  • White sesame seeds
  • Sesame oil
  • Frisee Lettuce (Or any other type of lettuce)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Season the tuna with salt and pepper and then roll in soya sauce and the juice from lemon. Leave the tuna to rest in the marinade at room temperature. After a suitable time (30 – 40 mins) roll the tuna in the black and white sesame seeds until all sides of the tuna are covered.

  2. Add a little sesame oil to a hot frying pan and briefly fry the tuna on all sides. It is really important not to overcook the tuna (it has to remain raw in the middle, otherwise it is inedible).

  3. Once the tuna is cooked, cut into slices and serve on a bed of lettuce salad, for which we can prepare vinaigrette of sesame oil and white balsamic, for example.

  4. Add a few drops of soy sauce, a pinch of salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste.
